BOMBAY HIGH Offshore (Sea) Rig ONGC Invite application for the post of:

Roustabout.

Qualification:

S.S.C, or Equivalent Qualification are Eligible.

 

Salary:

In Maintenance you get 22k Salary After that you get 35k Salary.

Roustabout: 35k ON Duty / 35k OFF Duty.

Note: Here On Duty and Off Duty means (28 Days Work and 28 Days Leave) when you on Leave (Off Duty) you get same salary. and you reach 3 Lakhs above salary by Promotion.

Roustabout responsibilities

Roustabouts play a crucial role in the oil and gas industry, with responsibilities ranging from performing routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to operating heavy machinery such as front-end loaders, backhoes, and skid steers. They are responsible for assembling flow lines for well heads, verifying proper installation of valves and chokes, and maintaining inventory on casing, drill pipe, and drilling materials. Additionally, roustabouts may be required to enter confined spaces, monitor water clarification systems, and lift other crew members to the top of water and oil tanks to ensure safety.

 

Here are examples of responsibilities from real roustabout resumes:

 

1. Swab oil and gas wells.

2. Clamp holding fixtures on ends of hoisting cables.

3. Swab back fluids, fish for part rods and tubing.

4. Experience in operating dozer, excavator, and bobcat and all-terrain crane.

5. Operate and fuel equipment machinery (bobcat and forklift).

6. Check that all bop valves are line up and are functioning properly.

7. Attach pulleys and blocks to fix overhead structures such as beams.

8. Move supplies and equipment to the worksite and assemble, service, repair and dismantle equipment

9. Used all types of hand tools utilize in the oilfield construction such as shovels and picks.

10. Inspect all slings, straps and chains for damage or imperfections that would make an unsafe lift.

11. Assist in inspection and maintenance of wire and fibre lines, slings, and other lifting equipment.

12. Work with welder and helper. Operate A-frame, line out and supervise crew. Submit all permits. Fire watch.

13. Perform pipeline/production separator hook-ups and become proficient operating a backhoe and other dirt moving equipment.

14. Haul pipes and rods, install motors on equipment’s, dig pits and lines, and clean up oil spills.

15. Work with welders and equipment operators in everyday situations to complete natural gas compressor stations.

16. Operate stinger cranes to lift and move equipment, tools, tubing, bop, or anything heavy.

17. Operate various types of equipment, such as backhoe, skid-steer, telehandler, loader, man-lift, packer, etc.

18. Oil and gas horizontal drilling, assembling BHA's, rig maintenance, inspect rig for safety.

19. Support all rig floor activities including manifold line-up to BHA planning and make up of drill string.

20. Use of power equipment pressure washer, drills, and jack hammer etc.

21. Rig and dismantle props and equipment, such as frames, scaffolding, platforms, or backdrops, using hand tools.

22. Supervise installation of pigs, test heads and hydro-testing.

23. Execute daily operations of filling out JSA'S.

24. Drive crew out to location and have a tailgate, JSA meeting before work start.
